Before proceeding with any work in the paint booth, make sure all prep work is complete and masking is correctly applied. INSPECT SANDING • Where BASECOAT COLOR will be applied, check that the repair has been sanded with P600 to 800 grit. • Where SEALER will be applied, check that the repair has been sanded with P400 to 600 grit. • Check that the BLEND AREA has been sanded with P800 to 1000 grit. CHECK FOR IMPERFECTIONS • Determine that no imperfections exist that need to be corrected before painting. CLEAN AND TACK • Remove any dirt, dust, fingerprints, and any other contaminants, using the ONECHOICE ® waterborne pre-cleaner. TIPS: Inspect sanded areas to validate sand scratches won't show through the repair. Deep scratches left after prep will telegraph through sealer and basecoat. Ensure there are no pinholes in body filler before proceeding. Any roughness on feathered edges must be sanded smooth before applying sealer or basecoat. Use gloves to prevent fingerprints. Use an anti-static paint suit in the booth to reduce excess dirt and fibers. 4 | 5 INSPECTING PREP WORK
