6. Check other chromatically arranged
chips, and select the best match to
vehicle being refinished.
7. Mix the formula for the chip selected
using PaintManager program software.
TIPS:
When the RAPIDMATCH
®
spectrophotometer is available, follow
the procedures outlined in the
RapidMatch Quick Reference Guide.
When possible, use natural sunlight
to select the best color for the repair.
Color inspection lights are a good
secondary light source.
Use polishing compound to clean the
surface before evaluating chips.
Wetting chips with wax & grease
remover will degrade paper backing.
