To give the Porsche masterpieces a concours-level finish, Emory looks to PPG and David Jameson, owner and head paint technician for Little Shop of Kustoms in nearby Desert Hot Springs. "The expectation for very high-quality work is obviously a factor when it comes to painting Rod's vehicles," says Jameson. "But to be a part of what he's doing with these 356s is truly an honor." At the top of the company's Outlaw hierarchy is the Emory RS. Built for the ultimate behind-the-wheel experience within a 356 package, the RS incorporates later-model Porsche 911 technology, such as the suspension and running gear from a '90s-era Carrera 2 or Carrera 4. "We want to save as much of the original 356 as possible," explains Emory. "But at the same time, we understand a customer's desire for high-performance exhilaration. 10
