Most classes are recognized by i-cAr to assist those seeking to meet annual training requirements for refinish specialty accreditation. when PPG's full-time trainers are not in the classroom, they can often be found visiting PPG shops and distributors, whether to troubleshoot and advise on production-related matters or to assist in upgrading to new refinish systems. Trainers even work weekends to accommodate technicians' busy schedules. complementing courses offered at PPG training facilities, some 32 PPG distributors have established training centers on their own premises where they work with PPG trainers and representatives to hold certification classes, local clinics on new products, equipment and procedures. Technical classes have been held at 36 vocational schools across north America in the last two years alone. instructional videos and online courses are also available so refinish pros can study at their own pace.
