MATCH
The Envirobase High Performance refinish system
keeps pace with these OEM trends by combining
3
rd
generation waterborne technology, the latest
translucent pigments and a scientifically proven
spectral gray undercoat system to achieve the
exotic styling effects of today's OE finishes.
ANTI-SETTLE TONER TECHNOLOGY
Envirobase High Performance toners are true
latex, comprised of micro-gel, non-stir technology.
These toners do not require mechanical mixing;
only a few shakes by hand are needed. This
innovative, anti-settle feature contributes to more
consistent color from mix to mix, while preventing
over-stirring and grinding down of metallics.
Another desirable feature of this full-featured
mixing system is long shelf life—at least four years
for unopened toners and 90 days for mixed colors,
under proper conditions.
FACTORY-LIKE SPECTRAL GRAY SYSTEM
Mirroring original finish application processes,
Envirobase High Performance basecoat colors
are applied over one of five shades of spectral
gray undercoats. In translucent OE finishes, the
undercoat is an essential element of the color
match. This process best recreates the original
finish, providing exceptional depth of clarity and
crispness unrivalled by other paint systems.
EASIER, BETTER BLENDING
Envirobase High Performance waterborne
technology is remarkably easy to blend,
and it avoids the blotching issues associated
with solvent-based systems. What's more,
with half the film build of solvent, the basecoat
transitions seamlessly from the repair area
into the original finish.
Two major trends are taking place at the OE level that should be considered
when choosing a system for collision refinish work. First is the automakers'
quest to differentiate their vehicles with highly chromatic exterior colors.
Secondly, waterborne basecoat is the technology of choice on the majority
of new vehicles being produced today.
