The car is the legendary Shelby Super Snake AA/Fuel Dragster—a multi-thousand
horsepower Fueler from drag racing icon Lou Baney. The driver is Don "The Snake"
Prudhomme, the equally legendary 49-time NHRA National Event winner with 63 more
wins as a team owner. With help from the same crew who built the original back in 1967
and show-quality details from master metalman Tiki Alvarez, the restoration of the
Shelby Super Snake took approximately two-and-a-half years to complete. The dragster
was repainted by Bill Carter in a beautiful custom-mixed red, white and blue using the

High Performance waterborne basecoat system. Now, nearly a half-
century since it roared into the hearts of racing fans, the Super Snake is back on the
track where it belongs.
