Many people are passionate about
cars. Yet, only a select few have the
talent and creative fire required to
harness that energy into a lifetime
of pushing the boundaries of what's
possible in the custom car world.
Randy Borcherding is one such artist.

Today, Randy is the owner and creative
visionary behind Painthouse—an
award-winning shop specializing in
restorations, customs, street rods and
anything in between. A family business
Like many, Randy's passion was
formed early on. "I've always been
around cars, beginning with building
models as a kid," he recalls. "My
interest in painting came from a car
my friends and I worked on in high
school. It just planted a seed in me."
Randy turned professional and started
his business back in 1989 (under a
different name). In those early days he
fed his thirst for knowledge and real-
world experience by treating each new
build as an opportunity to learn and
