Bouchard worked with designer Eric
Brockmeyer to come up with a concept
for the truck, then brought the project
to Korek to transform imagination into
reality. Korek gave Carlos a ground-
up customization that sets a new
benchmark for vintage F100s.
The team started with an Art Morrison
chassis matched to a 9-inch Strange
rear end. Then they added a set of
Continental tires over Mike Curtis
19- and 20-inch wheels. Wilwood
14-inch brake rotors with six-piston
calipers provide stopping power, a
definite necessity because Carlos
sports a potent Vintage Motorsports
supercharged 5-liter Coyote that
screams performance.
The interior got plenty of attention too.
Relicate leather stitching from John
Miller at Hide Originals covers the
door panels, headliner, center console
and Snowden custom bucket seats.
Dakota Digital's HDX-2018 extended
instrument cluster dominates the
dashboard and houses the Vintage Air
system and vents.
COOL
A key attraction is the F100's bodywork.
Korek gave the truck a custom grille
assembly and new bumpers. The
custom tailgate and white oak pickup
bed further sets Carlos apart from
the mundane.
For the finishing touch, Korek used
ENVIROBASE
®
High Performance
basecoat toners and DCU2021
Urethane Clear to create his
eye-catching, one-off "Blue Ice"
metallic finish.
When a pro like Korek takes on a
project, it's no surprise there's an
award waiting.
AS ICE.
