4 INSIDe LINe bringing innoVAtion to tHe surfACe If you haven't already noticed, PPG has a new branding slogan: Bringing innovation to the surface. In a minimum of words, I think it does a pretty neat job of summing up what we're all about at PPG—developing inventive, practical technologies and services that can assist our customers in elevating their business to the next level of excellence and success. Yet "Bringing innovation to the surface" represents only half of the equation for success. The other half rests with our customers and how they embrace innovation and put it to work effectively in their marketplace. In essence, that's a prime objective of the Repaint Reporter. Peruse this issue and you'll find interesting examples of people and businesses excelling at what they do and making it happen with PPG. A great example is the cover story on hall-of-famer Bobby Alloway's hot rod shop, and Bobby's tips for perfecting a flawless black finish using Deltron. ® And you should find value in reading how Vision Collision has embraced PPG waterborne and taken full advantage of its marketing potential. There's also a noteworthy message in the profile of the Imperial Speedster. Read how the consistent color capability of Envirobase ® High Performance was critical to providing the finishing touch to Murray Pfaff's one-of-a-kind SEMA showstopper. And don't miss the Taking Care of Business article where innovative thinking on how to run a lean collision center continues to be the focus. The bottom line message here is whether you are in the business of collision repair, custom builds or commercial, the Repaint Reporter is a great resource for tapping into the PPG innovations available to you.
