gOOD as MArtINo AUto CoNCeptS in the 1920s, glen Cove, n.y. was home to famous industrial tycoons such as J. p. morgan and F. w. woolworth. today, this community overlooking long island sound remains one of the most affluent zip codes in the u.s. it's the kind of place where the cars, like the people who own them, are often noteworthy. serving the gold Coast crowd and its rare and expensive vehicles has become a specialty for martino auto Concepts. the martino auto Concepts business plan is to cater to those who want the ultimate in attention to detail, perfection or artistry. it's a niche that might not be successful everywhere, but here, surrounded by great gatsby-level luxury, it works. "people are often surprised to hear that we are not a direct repair facility for any insurance company, and yet 95% of our work is insurance-related," says Joe lapadula, president and founder. that's possible, in part, by virtue of their specialty equipment: martino auto Concepts is one of only eight facilities in north america to repair cars using an italian Car bench ® octopus, in addition to five Celette ® fixture and Car-o-liner ® benches. the company has worked diligently to become certified to perform repairs on luxury brands such as Ferrari, lamborghini, porsche, bmw, mercedes-benz and rolls royce. martino auto Concepts acquired its current facility in 2004 by buying an abandoned collision center near their original location. because the new facility is located on multiple levels, a great deal of retrofitting was required to install the gOOD as MArtINo AUto CoNCeptS a Reputation 6
