Sleek. Ominous. Powerful. That's Mike
Dennison's 1951 Hudson Wasp. Built from
scratch at Kenny's Rod Shop in Boise,
Idaho, Kenny Welch and his team gave
the Hudson a modern look with reshaped
headlights and driving lights, grille and
the narrowed and tucked bumper. The
interior was updated as well with seats
and cabin boasting a mix of brown basket-
weave Alcantara leather. If that weren't
enough, a thundering Viper V10 engine
sits under the hood.
The typical Hudson chrome has been
eliminated, blacked out, or painted bronze
on the Wasp. A gold stripe along the body
line accents the black paint applied by
Shawn McNally of Regenerated Rides
in Nampa, Idaho. Owner McNally and
painter Heath Johnson used DELTRON
