SPECIAL HELMETS FOR A SPECIAL GAME
For 125 years, the Army vs. Navy football game has stood as America's game. The 2015 contest had added
significance as the Navy football team wore custom-painted helmets and special Under Armour uniforms to pay
homage to seven of the historic ships that make up the U.S. Naval Fleet. The helmets were beautifully hand-
painted by Peter Frechette using PPG's OMNI
®
MBPX basecoat—with different designs that aligned player's
position groups on the field with the role of the ship within the fleet.
